Integrative Oncology

What is Integrative Oncology?

Conventional oncology treats cancer. Integrative oncology goes beyond to treat the patient that has cancer – whole person cancer care. Each patient is unique. Contributing factors to their cancer care are unique. Their family history and genetics are unique. Their environmental exposures and lifestyles are unique. The ways patients respond to conventional and integrative therapies are unique. Integrative oncology creates the foundation for customized care plans to achieve better outcomes, fewer side effects, a better quality of life, and hope.

Why Riordan?

Riordan Clinic is a world-renowned, academic medical center that has been leading the world in integrative oncology and complex chronic illness care since 1975. Clinic co-founders Dr. Hugh Riordan and Olive W. Garvey founded the clinic on the premise that all complex chronic illness, including cancer, has origins in nutrient deficiencies. Today, the clinic’s integrative oncology team builds on that foundation with a Terrain approach to care. This approach targets the root cause of the cancer while simultaneously working to improve quality of life, manage side effects, reduce risk of recurrence, and improve immunity. Clinic providers and patients – co-learners – then together focus on restoring, improving, and maintaining health by addressing individualized diet, lifestyle and environmental influences.

The Riordan Clinic treats all types of cancer. The Riordan Clinic’s High Dose IV Vitamin C (IVC) protocols are recognized worldwide as the standard in integrative cancer care. Other therapies offered include but aren’t limited to Mistletoe Therapy, Helleborus Therapy, Ultraviolet Blood Irradiation (UBI), Poly MVA, Ozone Insufflations, Detox Protocols, and Acupuncture.
