  • What is the turn-around time for test results?

    Most of our tests take about 2 weeks. In some cases, sooner. For more information about our turn-around times, please contact Riordan Center Laboratory.

  • Can I order tests kits for my patients and is a catalog of all your tests available?

    You may order test kits for all of our tests by calling or faxing to our office. At your request we can send the kit(s) to your office or, in some cases, directly to the patient.

  • Does insurance or Medicare/Medicaid pay for any of your tests?

    Riordan Clinic Laboratory only files Medicare insurance. Medicare has advised us not to file the tests which are considered non-covered. If you would like to file a claim with your insurance provider (non medicare), we will provide you with the information you need. Please contact your insurance provider for any questions concerning coverage and reimbursement.

  • What if I don’t live in the United States?

    Although the kit won’t cost you anything, you will be responsible for shipping charges. We will need a credit card number and we will send the kit via UPS. It will come to you in about 5 – 7 days.

  • Can I put more than one specimen in a kit?

    Yes. Almost all specimens must be frozen and shipped overnight to us. Please make sure paperwork matches the information on the tubes, proper payment is sent, and the courier will ship overnight delivery. (Do not ship on Fridays as we are closed on Saturday and major holidays.)

  • Who may I use to ship my specimens?

    We provide FREE overnight return shipping via FedEx on all test kits. You may use other couriers that will guarantee overnight (next day) delivery. However, you will be responsible for the shipping charges.

  • Can I order test kits or does my doctor need to?

    Doctor's orders are not required to order testing through the Bio-Center Lab. Individuals can order a test kit online and have them shipped directly to you. Order Test Kits Online:

    Test kits are free to doctors inside the U.S. and are only charged/billed when returned and processed. If sent by a doctor, orders must be included with a properly filled-out requisition and properly labeled tubes when submitting any specimens.

  • How long will it take to get my test kit?

    Delivery takes approximately 5-7 days. If you would like your kit sooner, you call us to give us a credit card number for shipping. We can have your kit there as soon as the next day.

  • Can you bill me monthly?

    Payment must be submitted with the specimen. If proper payment does not accompany specimen, this will delay results. Monthly billing is available to doctor’s offices, clinics, and hospitals. Please contact the Bio Center Laboratory at the Riordan Clinic to get an account set up.

  • How do I get test results?

    A copy of your results and a booklet will be mailed to you. Each result in the booklet has a paragraph with information about the test and some ways in which you can improve your results. A sample report can be found at:
