Throughout the Clinic’s almost 45-year history, volunteers have been an important part of the Clinic. Volunteers come here for many reasons, but they all have something in common – the wish to help others. In doing so, they get something in return. As a volunteer at the Riordan Clinic, you can learn while you serve. It gives you a chance to expand your knowledge and grow as a person while working with professionals in a leading, world-renowned integrative medical facility. What you gain is immeasurable, but most of all you have the opportunity to make a difference, to reach out and touch the lives of others, and find beauty in acts of kindness.

Becoming a Volunteer

The volunteer process involves an interview, filling out personal information, watching a video on confidentiality, and signing a confidentiality agreement. We try to place volunteer assignments in the areas of the volunteer’s preferences, skills, and interests. There are many opportunities to choose from including:

We are so happy you have decided to join our Volunteer Program, Delta Sigma Gamma (which stands for “Doing Something Good!”).  We would like to welcome you and thank you for joining the Riordan Clinic family. We look forward to getting to know you and work with you in such a healthy, fun, and learning environment!

Volunteer Opportunities (May Vary Depending on Location and Availability)

Special Events – Help with our many special functions in various cafe tasks throughout the year. A Food Handler Permit may be required. Greet and assist guests.

Lectures & Classes – Help set-up lecture hall; greeting guests, cleaning up afterward.

Library – Assist co-learners and guests with seeking out information, help with research and other miscellaneous duties in the specialized Mabee Library.

Nutrient Store – Greet guests and assist them in making product selections. Stock, clean, and organize shelves.

Gardening & Landscaping – Work in the organic garden, including planting, cultivating, watering, and weeding; irrigation, sprinklers, general maintenance.

Maintenance – General, painting, cleaning, remodeling, building.

Marketing and Administration – Building packets, organizing supplies, lead group tours, set up and tear down for events, etc.
