Riordan Clinic Celebrates 50 Years of Integrative Health at Landmark Anniversary Gala
On the evening of April 25, 2026, more than 190 guests gathered at Mark Arts in Wichita, Kansas, to celebrate a milestone five decades in the making. The Riordan Clinic 50th Anniversary Gala brought together staff, co-learners past and present, Board of Directors members, the Riordan and Garvey families, and community supporters for an evening that honored not just a clinic — but a movement.
By the end of the night, more than $910,000 had been raised to support the future of Riordan Clinic’s mission in integrative and functional medicine.
50 Years of Stimulating an Epidemic of Health
Founded in 1975 by Olive Garvey and Hugh D. Riordan, the Riordan Clinic was built on a belief that still guides every provider and co-learner interaction today: that the intersection of lifestyle and nutrition holds the key to finding the underlying causes of illness. The clinic’s mission — “to stimulate an epidemic of health” — has never wavered across five decades of care, research, and education.
From its origins in Wichita to its current locations in Wichita and Overland Park, Kansas, the Riordan Clinic has grown into one of the most respected integrative health centers in the country, known globally for its work in nutritional and biochemical testing, IV nutrient therapy, and integrative oncology.
The 50th Anniversary Gala was a celebration of that legacy — and a declaration of what comes next.
An Evening Honoring Three Generations
The gala honored three generations of Riordan Clinic leadership, providers, and the co-learner community that has been at the heart of the clinic’s purpose from the beginning.
The evening also marked a personal milestone: the celebration of Dr. Ron Hunninghake’s 75th birthday. As President of Riordan Clinic and a 30-year steward of its mission, Dr. Ron has become synonymous with the clinic’s commitment to personalized, whole-person care. The evening recognized his leadership and the enduring impact he has had — not just on Riordan Clinic, but on the broader field of integrative medicine.
$910,000 Raised for the Future of Integrative Medicine
The generosity of the evening’s attendees and sponsors made a powerful statement about the value of what Riordan Clinic represents in the healthcare landscape. More than $910,000 was raised in a single evening to support the clinic’s continued work in:
- Patient care — funding access to integrative and functional medicine for co-learners navigating complex, chronic, and oncology-related health challenges
- Research — advancing the evidence base for nutritional, biochemical, and integrative therapies
- Education — expanding health literacy through the Real Health Podcast, Health Hunters newsletter, and community programming
A Community That Showed Up
What made the evening remarkable wasn’t just the funds raised — it was the people in the room. The gala drew a cross-section of everyone whose lives have intersected with Riordan Clinic over the past 50 years.
Co-learners who found answers here when conventional medicine couldn’t provide them. Families of the founders. Staff who have spent decades inside the domes on East Douglas. Community partners who believe in the clinic’s mission. And a third generation of providers carrying that mission forward.
Special recognition goes to the clinic’s community and organization supporters for the evening, including LIVESTRONG, Remission Nutrition, and Victory in the Valley, whose shared commitment to whole-person health made them natural partners for this celebration.

The Co-Learner Documentary: A Legacy of Health
One of the most moving elements of the gala was the premiere of the Riordan Clinic documentary — a film that gives voice to the co-learners whose lives have been changed by integrative care. The participants who shared their stories represent the real meaning behind 50 years of this work.
The documentary is now available to watch online.

A Thank You From the Riordan Clinic Team
None of this would have been possible without the staff who dedicate themselves to this work every day, the volunteers who gave their time to make the evening seamless, and every person who has ever walked through the doors of the Riordan Clinic seeking a different kind of care.
To everyone who joined us to celebrate this milestone: thank you.
The next 50 years starts now.
