Riordan Clinic Videos

As a non-profit organization, the Riordan Clinic continually strives to offer educational opportunities to the public and our own patients (or “co-learners”), teaching people how to avoid and/or heal chronic disease. In this section we offer links to our Riordan Video Gallery on the site and also to our Youtube page where we upload all of our videos. Please enjoy!

Evening Dinner Banquet – Neil Riordan, Ph.D, P.A.

Riordan Clinic IVC and Cancer Symposium 2010 Presenter: Neil Riordan, Ph.D, P.A. – As the symposium came to a close, IVC practitioners from around the world agreed that there is mounting research on IVC which demonstrates its promising role as an adjunctive cancer therapy. Broader acceptance of the appropriate use IVC in the care of cancer care patients could help to reduce conventional therapies’ side effects and improve the patients’ quality and quantity of life. The 2011 Symposium will build on this gathering scientific momentum, with the tentative theme: “Correctable Causes of Cancer.” Please join us in supporting this new direction in im-proving the care and outcomes of cancer patients everywhere!

IVC and QOL in Japan

Riordan Clinic IVC and Cancer Symposium 2010 Presenter: Atsuo Yanagisawa, M.D. – Dr. Atsuo Yanagisawa from Japan took to the podium to further relate how the Riordan IVC Protocol has demonstrated its improvement in the quality of life in Japanese cancer patients. Dr. Yanagisawa heads the Japanese College of Intravenous Therapy representing a membership of over 400 doctors. These doctors import and use over 20,000 vials of ascorbic acid (one to two vials are used in each IVC treatment.) each month!

The Emerging Role of IVC in Cancer Care

Riordan Clinic IVC and Cancer Symposium 2010 Presenter: Paul Saunders, N.D. – Dr. Paul Saunders from Toronto opened the symposium with “The Emerging Role of IV-C in Cancer Care.” He showed how IVC therapy can be blended with other adjunctive therapies to “overcome cancer, improve patient energy [and] quality of life, and address the side effects of cancer [and] conventional treatment.” IVC can help to reduce the dreaded side effects of traditional cancer therapies.

IPT, IVC and QOL

Riordan Clinic IVC and Cancer Symposium 2010 Presenter: Bradford S. Weeks, M.D. – Dr. Brad Weeks from the state of Washington continued with a discussion on the use of Insulin Potentiation Therapy (IPT) to selectively target cancer cells for elimination. Low doses of insulin “activate” smoldering cancer cells, thereby allowing for a 90% reduction in the dosage of chemotherapy drugs necessary to induce apoptosis (cell death) of tumors. IPT, along with proper “anticancer” nutrition, moderate exercise, and appropriate supplementation is an emerging treatment for cancer that is “well tolerated, effective and cost effective.”

Stemming the Tide of Cancer

Riordan Clinic IVC and Cancer Symposium 2010 Presenter: Garry F. Gordon, M.D., D.O., H.M.D. – Dr. Garry Gordon from Arizona, presented “Stemming the Tide of Cancer.” He began with some frightening statistics on environmental toxins, including one 2004 study that found 212 industrial chemicals, many of which were banned over 30 years ago, were still found in cord blood samples of 10 newly born Americans. He went on to discuss the modern day epidemic of cancer and reviewed a vast array of pioneering methods (including IVC) to help “stem the tide” of this terrible illness.

Recent Studies and Experience with IVC Therapy

Riordan Clinic IVC and Cancer Symposium 2010 Presenter: Michael Gerber, M.D. – Dr. Michael Gerber from Nevada drew upon his first-hand experience from using IVC therapy for over 30 years and supported those experiences with references from nine separate published research studies that support IVC use in cancer care. His professional experiences provided many real life stories of the role IVC can play in the humanistic care of cancer patients, and the positive outcomes that can be achieved in enhancing their quality of life.

Interaction of IVC with Chemotherapeutic Agents

Riordan Clinic IVC and Cancer Symposium 2010 Presenter: Qi Chen, Ph.D. – Dr. Qi Chen from the University of Kansas Medical Center presented her research data on the unexpected pro-oxidant properties of high dose vitamin C which has made it highly “promising in disease treatment, such as cancer.” Dr. Chen’s presented stunning new bench mark data that clearly demonstrates “a synergistic effect [of high dose vitamin C] with standard chemotherapeutic drugs”. This data refutes a commonly held belief that IVC might interfere with chemotherapy and radiation. Indeed, IVC not only reduces the side effects of conventional cancer therapies, but can improve outcomes without sacrificing the patient’s quality of life benefits.

Tumors, Their Stroma, and Vitamin C

Riordan Clinic IVC and Cancer Symposium 2010 Presenter: Daniel Rubin, N.D., F.A.B.N.O. – Dr. Dan Rubin from Arizona provided a highly scientific and technical presentation on the theory that cancer is “wound healing gone awry.” This provoked a lively discussion during the Q&A that followed. This “non-healing wound” theory represents a new paradigm of scientific thought that promises better cancer care outcomes thanks to a better biological understanding of this ubiquitous illness.

The Riordan IVC Protocol

Riordan Clinic IVC and Cancer Symposium 2010 Presenter: Ron Hunninghake, M.D. – Riordan Clinic’s own Dr. Ron Hunninghake served as the keynote speaker for the symposium. Dr. Hunninghake articulated the basic tenets of Riordan IVC Protocol that is now used worldwide in nutritional medicine circles for the adjunctive treatment of cancer. According to the Riordan protocol, “the cause of cancer [is the] failure to restore sustained cellular injury.” With the Riordan IVC Protocol high-dose Vitamin C treatment side effects are uncommon, unlike traditional “toxic” chemotherapy treatments. This Protocol boosts immunity, slows the growth of the cancer, relieves pain and fatigue, and reduces many of the side effects of traditional cancer treatments.

Adult Stem Cells and Cancer

Riordan Clinic IVC and Cancer Symposium 2010 Presenter: Tom Ichim, Ph.D. – Dr. Ichim gave the attendees an exciting overview of his work with adult cancer stem cells stating that the “war on cancer failed [because] we were targeting the wrong cell!” He hypothesizes that instead of targeting the treatment to kill the cancer cell what if we asked the question, “[Since] stem cells heal injured tissue…if cancer is a ‘non-healing wound’, what if we try to heal it with stem cells?” Dr. Ichim presented exciting basic science research that supports this premise.
