Folk remedies (or home remedies) are commonly found in all cultures. Some are bizarre, though most are very practical and have stood the test of time. Why do people continue to rely on what the medical profession often describes as “non-evidence-based” therapies? Do they really do something medically or are they all just placebo? Do folk remedies reveal something about the body’s ability to heal that is largely ignored by modern technological medicine? Dr. Ron speaks about an array of common folk remedies and asks key questions to help the audience decide for themselves whether or not to make good use of safe folk remedies.
