Aging Gracefully: Want to Postpone Your Expiration Date?
As the aging population grows, the medical community becomes more involved in the science of aging and more adept at treating and helping to prevent various conditions. In 2007-2009, the most frequently occurring conditions among older persons were: uncontrolled hypertension (34%), diagnosed arthritis (50%), all types of heart disease (32%), any cancer (23%), diabetes (19%), and sinusitis (14%). So, what happens to our bodies during the aging process? How can we actively delay the process our body goes through as we age? Dr. Hinshaw discusses the causes of aging, changes in the aging body, and gives approaches to help you postpone the aging process.
