Dr. Stacy Dunn, ND, LAc, FABNO, FABORM is a member of the integrative oncology team at Riordan Clinic and practices at the Overland Park, Kansas, clinic location. She is a naturopathic oncologist and is a Fellow of the American Board of Naturopathic Oncology (FABNO) and a Fellow of the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine (FABORM).
Dr. Dunn has been involved in the health, nutrition, and fitness field for more than 25 years. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology from the University of Kansas. After completing a six-year graduate program, she earned a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine and a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine from National University of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon, the oldest accredited naturopathic medical college in North America.
Dr. Dunn has significant experience in integrative cancer care, acupuncture, Oriental medicine, and women’s health and fertility. She strongly believes in the body’s inherent ability to heal. Dr. Dunn works alongside her patients, encouraging them to take an active role in their health. She combines her diverse background and experience with tools and wisdom from the East and West, providing truly holistic health care. Her practice incorporates many effective therapies, including acupuncture, clinical nutrition, homeopathy, and Chinese and Western herbal medicine.
Dr. Dunn’s career encompasses both private and hospital-based practice. She has been a Naturopathic Oncology Provider at the Cancer Treatment Centers of America in both Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Tulsa, Oklahoma. She collaborated extensively with medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, surgeons, hospitalists, nursing staff, psychologists, and dietitians to improve patient safety and quality of life.
She most recently served as a naturopathic doctor and acupuncturist at Pacific Integrative Oncology and Tiny Dragon Acupuncture in Eugene, Oregon. In that position, she provided integrative cancer care designed to help patients meet the challenges of cancer treatment and improve their quality of life. She also served as director for first- and second-year residents and provided on-site acupuncture and naturopathic support for patients at Oregon Surgical Wellness.
Dr. Dunn is a contributing author for “The Breast Cancer Companion: A Complementary Care Model” (2016) and “Textbook of Naturopathic Oncology: A Desktop Guide of Integrative Cancer Care” (2020). She has also written three articles for Townsend Letter: “Functional Fertility: Optimizing Ovarian Reserve” (April 2017), “Anemia in Cancer: Assessment, Management, and Naturopathic Considerations” (August/September 2014), and “Naturopathic Co-Management of Patients Receiving Adjuvant Endocrine Therapy for Breast Cancer” (August/September 2013).
Dr. Dunn was a member of the Board of Medical Examiners for the American Board of Naturopathic Oncology from 2019-2022.
Dr. Dunn and her husband, James, live with their two daughters in the Overland Park area.
When she isn’t caring for patients, Dr. Dunn enjoys hiking, kayaking, and watching Marvel movies with her family.
