Wichita, KS USA Wednesday, August 3, 2011
The Riordan Clinic has announced that James Tangeman, PhD, will join their Board of Directors. The Clinic is delighted to have Dr. Tangeman on the Board and looks forward to his contributions, fundraising expertise and familiarity of board membership and governance. Dr. Tangeman’s motivation to join the Board lies in his belief of the Clinic’s philosophy of staying as healthy as possible through proper diet, exercise, appropriate supplementation, and adequate rest to prevent disease. “Instead of going to the doctor to be treated for disease, I go to stay healthy.”
After 44 years in education, Dr. Tangeman retired to Wichita, KS from his post as President of Garden City Community College. He continues to be highly involved in his community, serving as Chairman of several Boards in the state, including the Kansas Health Institute Board, Green’s Association Board at Country Place and the Endowment Fund Committee at Holy Cross Lutheran Church. He is also founding director on the Hartsook Companies Board, an international fundraising firm based in Kansas City.
When asked what he hopes to achieve while serving on the Riordan Clinic Board of Directors, Dr. Tangeman replied, “A primary goal would be to assist in raising awareness of the tremendous opportunities for enjoying healthful living by visiting the Riordan Clinic. I want to help the Riordan Clinic become better recognized for its outstanding achievements in the field of research including the use of vitamin C in controlling cancer as well as advancing in the stem cell research area.”
