Optimal Kids Program
Improve your child’s behavior, learning and mood through lifestyle and dietary modifications along with proper nutrient supplementation. The Optimal Kids Program is designed to help children with a wide variety of health needs.
Our approach investigates the root cause for children who are suffering from behavior, digestive, learning, anxiety, depression or a variety of health issues. Optimal Kids is designed for parents and loved ones who want to avoid medication while still improving the child’s day to day life.
Children and parents will meet with a Riordan Clinic doctor for five sessions over a three month period. A detail history will be taken, nutrient lab evaluation done, diet and lifestyle issues will be addressed and attendance at the Food as Medicine course is included.
Who would benefit from this program?
Children dealing with, but not limited to, the following issues:
|Poor concentration||Poor focus and memory||Developmental delays|
|ADD/ADHD||Hyperactivity||Poor sleep habits|
|Digestive complaints||Headaches||Food sensitivities|
|Asthma and allergies||Depression||Anxiety|
Read more about why the program was created in Dr Anne’s article, Optimal Kids which was originally published in the August 2015 issue of our Health Hunters newsletter. You can also watch the one hour video lecture YouTube channel.
- Detailed health history, physical, goal setting with doctor. Lab collected via urine (see description below).*
- Review diet and lifestyle changes.
- All new patients will receive a flash drive with a recording of the Food as Medicine course as well as a digital copy of the text book.
- Lab review and supplement recommendations.
- Follow up and review goals.
Typically these four appointments will take place within three months. However, this time frame may be adjusted based on your child’s individual needs. Your doctor will likely suggest additional follow up appointments to monitor progress.
Over the course of the program it will be important to implement the nutrition and lifestyle changes, supplement recommendations, follow-up appointments and clinic services that your child’s treatment plan outlines. By taking an active role in his or her recovery, you will understand the systemic causes of the illness or health concerns better, thus enacting a positive impact on health. Because of this approach we ask that all children go through the Optimal Kids program in order to be established as a patient at the Riordan Clinic.
