Steve Flesher

Chief Executive Officer

Steve Flesher was born and raised in Kansas, and after graduating from the University of Kansas with a degree in Microbiology, he has lived in the Wichita area. He is married and has one daughter. Steve and his wife own a small training and development business, as well.

Steve has spent most of his career working in healthcare. In his first position with Norden Laboratories, he was a Sales Manager and focused on selling animal pharmaceuticals to Veterinarians that treated small animals. After that, Steve began working with clinical laboratories. He worked in business development to sell clinical laboratory services for SmithKline Beecham for a number of years and then worked for Abbott Diagnostics selling laboratory equipment to physician offices, reference laboratories, and hospitals. Steve also worked for a laboratory consulting firm that focused on delivering compliance services, as well as consulting services to help labs and physicians better utilize diagnostic tests to manage patient outcomes, understand reimbursement issues, and focus on maximizing both operations and revenues.

Steve is a great problem solver and was recruited by the City of Wichita to lead an air service development initiative in 2001. Despite the 9/11 event, he was able to bring communities in South Central Kansas together to consolidate air service demand and attract three low-cost airline carriers to service the Wichita market. In 2001 he was known as the “Air Service Czar.” This initiative resulted in $57M in airfare savings to Kansas travelers in its first year of implementation and national media attention.

In terms of community involvement, Steve has been on the Board of the Wichita Manufacturers Association, where he served as Scholarship Chairman, and has also served on the Workforce Alliance of South-Central Kansas Board of Directors. He has been a member of KansasBio where he served on the Talent and Education Committee and has served as a School Bond Oversight Committee Member for USD 259.

Steve and his family have long supported the model of care represented by the Riordan Clinic and sees opportunity to expand it. He is looking forward to working with patients, staff, and community stakeholders to realize these growth objectives.
