Kim Medis, RN, BSN
Kim is a native of the Kansas City area, growing up in Overland Park. She is married to her college sweetheart, Michael, and they have 5 children together. After staying home with her family for 19 years, Kim became a RN graduating from the University of Kansas in 2011. After graduation, Kim worked cardio-thoracic post-surgical progressive care and as a team lead in radiologic cardiology at St Luke’s Hospital on the Plaza. Kim also served as an infusion nurse in KU Hospital’s Integrative Medical Clinic.
Kim has always considered herself somewhat of a “granola” mom and working in integrative medicine has brought all of these elements that she felt intuitively, full circle.
Kim helped open the Kansas City Riordan Clinic in 2016 and serves as a member of the KC Chapter of the Oncology Nursing Society. At the Riordan Clinic, she loves that their team is like-minded in their views towards medicine. “It is incredibly fulfilling to develop relationships with our patients that come for treatments multiple times a week. I am truly blessed to be here.”
In her spare time, Kim hosts a podcast, Thru the Wringer with Mike and Jo, with her husband which she considers a ministry to individuals with dysfunctional families. She loves to create sarcastic cross-stitch art, craft, thrift shop, and watch DIY YouTubers.
